The name of our Firm, CALMEC, is derived from an ancient school in the Aztec society, Calmecac. Education was one of the chief concerns of parents regarding their children. Aztec nobles sent their sons and daughters to the Calmecac (temple school) to train to become lawyers, priests, public officials and warriors. There, they learned to read sacred books, perform Aztec ceremonies, and carry out civil and military functions with exactness. They also learned to live prudently, to govern, and to understand history and the ways of their elders. Our Firm name, CALMEC, along with our emblem, signify our dedication to the people of the world, which we represent, and our promise to deliver our services with integrity and empathy.
Our Firm is unique in many ways. First, our location near the Wisconsin and Illinois border in Lake County, Illinois allows us to serve the legal needs of both states. Mr. Sagartz is also admitted to practice in Ohio. The federal immigration law allows us to serve clients from all over the nation, as well as abroad. We also offer our services in multiple languages: English, Spanish, Polish, French, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. This multi-lingual ability is not a common find even in larger law firms. Finally, we have a great deal of experience handling legal matters on behalf of noncitizens as well as citizens, a niche area that is not frequently found in law practices.
As we continue to work with our clients, we encourage consultation with a member of the Firm to discuss how we may be able to assist you with your legal needs. Welcome to CALMEC Global Law Group. We strive to make your experience with us a positive one.
